This Defense is a Complete Joke

I realize I'm saying this in the heat of watching them get eaten up by Aaron Rodgers, but give me a break. They aren't just doing poorly, they're getting curb stomped, and have been walked all over all season long. No run first NFL team this day in age has any chance of competing when the opposition is putting up 30+ points per game. The offense doesn't do them any favors, but the defense can't get any stops on 3rd down and has given up two 4th down conversions as well. This is looking as bad as the early-mid 2000's Vikings defenses. Not only that, both sides of the ball constantly shoot down any chances they have with penalties... it's painful to watch.

It's gotten so bad that I wouldn't be opposed to them shipping out a few of the old vets to see if they can get anything at all in return for them. I doubt they'd get all that much, but let's face it, but Jared Allen and Kevin Williams are gone at the end of the year, so I wouldn't care if they shipped both out to the highest bidders if they could get any offers before the trade deadline. Who knows, maybe they could snag even a 3rd or so for Allen if they got lucky. They need all the draft ammo they can get. The first priority needs to be getting the best possible QB in the draft, then improving the O-line and defense, namely the linebackers and pass rush.

The D has been just plain awful this season, can't get off off the field to save their lives, doesn't help that the O can't sustain a decent drive and the time of possession is the worst in the NFL. Hard to believe this was a 10-6 club last year
