He WAS a d lineman. Coaches at the time say he was a very talented player but they were so stacked with even better talent he was forced down the depth chart
sapp took his job at d-line

then some murderer took his job at LBer

not bad

"i lost 2 jobs to 2 future HOFers"

some star power might help the league. The Rock could do their commercials. that might bring in some fringe sports fans.

I found the product to be lacking. They put together great highlight videos that made me want to go back and give it another chance a couple times though.

It felt like watching the some random weekday MACtion games. Which is all well and good, I’ve watched plenty of G5 Tuesday night college football. But I don’t see it ever having the broad appeal to have the post football season draw to football it would need, unless the idea to officially turn it into a developmental league with NFL backing happens.
Yeah, you had to enjoy it for what it was: a sub-standard level of pro ball. I really liked some of the gimmicks with the coverage, like listening in on the OC's headset, and the way they did kickoffs. Some other things I didn't like, but overall it scratched the itch

If they could get some half decent QB play... But half decent QBs have opportunities in the NFL. Think there’s no way around that issue with these attempts at new leagues.

And he has more than double the money than both of them earned in their careers combined. I said earned because I know Sapp pissed all of his money away.

he should be begging Kaepernick to come play in the XFL. That would bring in a viewership.

Seemed like the XFL was trying to capitalize on the crowd who was pretending to boycott the NFL, so that whole thing would go out the window. And it would never happen to begin with, so it’d be stupid for them to try.

he can always pitch it in another way. He doesn't need to keep the brand the way McMahon was going at it.

You think he is good enough to start in the XFL?

Yeah, but alienating the sort of fan base you already have built in doesn’t make a lot of sense, especially for something that isn’t gonna happen anyway.

All joking aside, did you see any of those games? I bet we can find some 50 year old SportsHoopla slobs who are good enough to start in the XFL.
