I could see he was working on his approach at the plate. But the fact he's willing, hopefully wanting, to improve his glove work is impressive.

Perhaps the light came on for him, and he's not as thick between the ears as I thought.

Anyone rooting for odor to fail is a moron. It’s in our best interest that he straighten out and turn into a stud. I believe he can do it.

With perhaps a rare exception or two, no one wanted/wants him to fail. But he'd sure done a pretty good job of convincing some of us, me included, he wasn't willing to change in order to improve his game. Apparently we misjudged him, but in our defense, he'd shown damn near nothing to encourage us for well over a year.

Non tape measure HRs count the same. Gallo does not need to go full throttle on a 2 Strike count and it would be nice to see him be able to go up the middle. The shift is killing him. Anything on the ground pulled is an out.

I do think his pitch recognition is improving. How he gets there I am uncertain but he is batting 8 a spot for weak hitter. This has to bite for him

I'm much more disappointed in Gallo than I ever was with Odor, and for this reason. I didn't think Odor could think his way out of a sack, but I knew Gallo had some sense, so his failures are totally due to arrogance. And that's beyond sad.

Agree. If he would take the approach of say Maz/Choo he would still get his HRs. I have zero confidence in him if we have a man on 3rd and less than 2 outs.

big guy with a long swing at max effort leads to less contact. So much late break from these top MLB pitchers. Gallo has to change his approach. These HRs can be fools gold at times

Odor is looking for his pitch early and swinging for fences and that is ok a lot of the time but that Profar 2 strike approach is a good one to emulate. Do that and you will eventually get to the pitcher It happened against us last when Diekman got hammered after extended ABs

You have to consider the source on this one. Matters not to me how bad a player may be if he does turn around. All that counts is success and I don't care who provides it. Just do it.
