Adams bolstered our struggling bullpen and neither Wieland or Erlin were probably ever going to crack the rotation. Good trade.

I still disagree about the price; not one but two potential mid rotation arms for a reliever

Just because Wieland got hurt, and he'll be back and maybe with a little extra on his fast ball which was his downside, lack of velocity

Erlin also has had issue with injuries and he's on the small side which limits his potential, but he's a solid pitcher with good command, maybe even a LHP out of the bullpen eventually

Not the worst trade but still not a good one in my eyes

Was more of a win for TEX than it was for SDP. I didn't see either pitcher to be cracking TEX MLB lineup within the two years Adams was going to be playing for TEX ... or likely after that either.

Let me ask it this way: If Adams were still here who would be doing the setup job? Adams. That tells me it was a good trade for TEX.
