Overseas elite is stacked
First time I've watched live sports since Georgetown Villanova on March 7th.
Just crazy...
You didn’t watch the Gophs paste Northwestern the night everything ended?!?!
Bad priorities dude
Brotherly Love with a free pass to the quarters because some douche from Eberlein couldnt stay away from other people for a few weeks prior to the 1 million dollar tourney.
So the entire 5 seed gets to go home
i'm amazed at how many mediocre american basketball players can earn a living playing overseas.
Aaron Rountree will always be the first name that comes to mind. Horrible ACC player, bad MAAC player, but he's out there playing in Europe. That's like getting accepted into a master's program despite having a substandard undergraduate GPA.
What height is he anyway? I've seen him listed anywhere from 6"7" to 6'9" and some of these guys(Duke has them too) are just bodies to scrimmage with
Rountree was listed at 6'8 when he was at Wake. His only useful basketball skill was help side defense. He was awful at everything else. It's insane that he's been able to parlay his lack of skills into a professional basketball career. He's not the only one that's been able to do that, but he's the most obvious example.
I live one neighborhood over from a guy who played in Europe, he's 6'11" and I coached his daughter in AAU with my daughter and the only reason he was able to play was his size. He did marry a pretty good looking Italian girl whose father left her a furniture business, I guess that was the perk!
Well its safe to say SC was underseeded
