We need 2/3.... Our pitching should be able to handle their lineup if it's on. The question is, are the last 3 games a sign of the Team coming out of the September swoon? Or just a blip on the radar? We should of won the last 3... Everyone knows it. If we can get 2 here, I'll probably start feeling good about our playoff hopes ( again ).

The way JD and Ryan have been talking about him it sounds like Wash is not going anywhere no matter how shitty they finish this season. Pretty sick to think that any manager could get that big a free pass with the multiple brain farts and head scratchers he has displayed this season and last. Makes me wonder if JD and Ryan truly believe this team has way over achieved this season even with a crappy September finish. If getting to the playoffs this season was such a long shot in their opinion given everything that happened with talent and injuries, it might better explain why Wash still has their apparent full support.

I have long thought Wash was given way too much credit in the WS seasons and has been Teflon concerning the piss poor results of the last two seasons. It is certain that JD and Ryan know much more about the whole picture on Wash than any of us but it does not mean that they are 100% correct about him with their assessment either. Baseball is a game of constant assessment of skills by management. They make major mistakes on player assessments frequently. The same thing is no doubt true about manager assessments.

If Wash showed any signs of learning anything new I would probably feel better about him. However, he is the old dog with no new tricks. He keeps crapping in the house and chewing up shoes. No way to make him a better manager, he already knows everything. Gentry on the bench and Murphy in the field says it all.
