I think Senga goes to the Jays, Mets or Dodgers
Rodon to the Yankees or Mets

How do y’all feel about Jesus Luzardo ?
I posted a trade scenario involving him a few weeks back. I don't want Lopez, but Cabrera or Luzardo would be fine, depending on the price. Of course, I would be willing to give up a ton for Alcantara.

I think Luzardo would be like getting a cheaper, younger version of Carlos Rodon.
4 years of team control. Very good pitcher.
But same injury risk too.. Luzardo went on the IL this year with a forearm strain.. it seems like that always precedes needing Tommy John..

Taillon.

Bassitt would be the last one because we would lose a draft choice for him.

Taillon, Bassitt (would cost a draft pick?), then Quintana. Not interested in Heaney.
Taillon from that bunch is #1 for me because he's still relatively young, has had three seasons with a sub 4.00 ERA (five seasons with a sub 4.00 FIP) and doesn't walk guys. He's a consistently solid pitcher that I think Maddux could possibly get more out of.

I met Angels, not dodgers..

Unless the Rangers completely outbid..ofcourse
If they offer Rodon 6/$192 they may get him
Senga-5/$95

If we don’t get either I think Rodon signs for 6/$175 & Senga 5/$85

What are some of the most unexpected things that Chris Young could pull off over the next few days? Here are five that I have thought of.

1. Sign Verlander
2. Sign 2 of the top 4 pitchers(Verlander, Senga, Rodon, DeGrom)
3. Sign Aaron Judge
4. Blockbuster trade for Samdy Alcantara
5. Sign another top SS

How about sign Willson Contreras then trade Heim to one of the many teams seeking catching help. Astros, Cubs, Guardians, Twins, White Sox, Red Sox, Rays, and Cardinals.
Not the Astros though, but signing Willson out from under them would be nice.

Heim could help net a LF and or Bullpen piece.

I like Giovanny Gallegos & Lars Nootbaar of the Cardinals. Would have to add more than just Heim..

What would y’all think about a 1 year deal for Justin Turner to play 1B?

How's his defense at 38 years old? That's the key.
As a hitter he seems to be declining, but still good. He did have an OPS around 780.
If he'd take around 8-10 million, then sure.
Otherwise, after likely signing another SP I'd prefer the Rangers get a quality reliever or two (if possible).

He was about league Avg at 3B last year.
I would think he would be good at 1B but not sure.. just a thought.

If they don't sign a 1B, what would you think of trying Garver there? Might help him stay healthy.

I think they want Lowe to stay at 1B for some reason. I think that is why we haven't heard one rumor of the Rangers showing interest in a first baseman this whole offseason.
