I have been a lifelong Eagles fan
I remember the Superbowl versus the Raiders
I remember the fog bowl game versus Chicago
I remember the Superbowl versus the Patriots (1st meeting)

I am not ashamed to admit that I cried at the end of this game
This championship obviously has been a long time coming

Congrats to the Super Bowl fucking Champions - the Philadelphia Eagles!
Congrats to all of the Eagles fans worldwide!
Congrats to my fellow posters on this board!

It was a hell of a season and a hell of a ride.
This team is the best gut-check resilient team I have ever watched in any sport.
The one team that I would put in the same category is the 1980 USA hockey team which I remember watching in the Olympics - all of the games - especially the Miracle on Ice game and the Gold medal game

That is good company to be in in

Again Congrats Philadelphia Eagles - hard fought Super Bowl championship and you deserve it

Strip sacks to end games has been the way this D has played all year. Those guys are just relentless.

I would be one of those guys. I will be 50 in June and I was beginning to really wonder if I would see one. To actually witness it is better than words can explain. What makes this even better is that this team can win a couple more based on the personnel.

In 2004 we made it to this game. After being caught short so many times we went out and made the splash to do it. And we came up short.

Over the last 13 seasons I began to realize the only way this team finally does it is in the most outrageous way. It wouldn’t easily be seen coming in August. It wouldn’t come without knocks and doubts along the way. It would spring forth from the common held expectation of average to slightly above average being the goal. It would come from us being underdogs the whole way. It would come from a Team that embodies what Philly means.

And so it has come to pass.

It has come from the playbook (and the guts l) of an underwhelming coaching hire.
It has come from the shrewd dealing of a once cast off GM
It has come with major injuries galore
It has come from a backup QB that even most of us fans, in our hearts, could not see doing it.
It has come from facing the dynasty head on. It came with perhaps the greatest QB ever throwing for half a thousand yards.
It came from a much lauded defensive line that was pushed around all game. One play, one moment taken advantage of.

For decades we have held hope and been let down. All of the guys that were going to be saviors. And we were saved finally by the unexpected grit of this squad.

I watched the sun come up today. It’s intetesting how little sleep you need to have when your fans heart is finally full. And I can’t stop thinking today.....this was always the way this was going down. Halleluhjah that it’s finally come to pass!

And....one last thought I didn’t realize I would have now that this has finally happened....I want more!!

I am 57 and was sure I would never see a SB Trophy for our Eagles. My wife is pushing me to go up for the parade, she keeps telling me that I have waited my whole life for this. It is surreal.
