Lakers down by 8 with just over 8 minutes to go, they were getting in the passing lanes and disrupting the Suns offense in the 3rd, need more of that here.

Yup, Davis with 4 blocks needs to start. They left him in there in the 4th and the Lakers had the game in hand. J Hill with a 15-15 game, worth every penny. Kobe with 39 points couldn't carry the Lakers past the finish line. Lin played great in the 4th up until he started to choke at the end for some reason, no idea what that was about, he's got to be more mentally tough than that.

Overall, when does Nick Young come back? 15-20 points from the bench is unacceptable.

This is just what I was thinking this summer... Lin needs to be able to tell Kobe no when he needs to... Kobe is fucking out of his mind... He is too good for this shit... He went off but you can tell it wasn't a prime time game...

Since we have who we have, these are my thoughts... Start Kobe, Price, Ellington, Hill, and Davis... Here's why... Spacing and defense... Then the bench becomes a factor... Lin is not bad but he can't be a starter, Boozer would be maybe the 3rd best big off the bench in the league... Swaggy does what he does... Johnson is just not good enough... He's had his chances but he isn't there and Ellington can knock it down... Boozer at C and Kelly at the 4... Turkey your talk about threes was spot on by the way... I've been meaning to say that for a while... Hopefully we can get a W next game... GO LAKERS!!!

If we don't make any moves that is what needs to happen... Being out scored like 40+ to 9 off the bench is unacceptable...

Watched the game at a friends house last night. Decent effort, but the Lakers just don't have the bodies right now which is why they fade in the 4th quarter. They're obviously not making the playoffs this season, but with a couple more healthy bodies, maybe they have grabbed a win or 2 by now.

The reason to continue to start Boozer, at least right now, is because not starting him weakens the bench. His production last night wasn't terrible (13 points, 6 boards and 4 assists), but the Lakers need more from him than that. Once the Lakers are fully healthy, then perhaps they can look at bringing him off the bench, but for now, he needs to start.

No problem with the number of minutes Kobe played last night. It was a winnable game, so you have to have him in there. Plus, as Byron pointed out, they don't play again until Sunday, so there's plenty of time to rest him.

Boozer played well, he just doesn't have any lift... Against starters he is blowing layups and shooting too fast imo because he's trying to beat the defense... Playing against a second unit he can be "crafty" vs young or inexperienced defenders... Our bench is giving us nothing, I think Boozer and Lin but at least Boozer will help that...

Solid point. I think that Boozer will eventually be moved to the bench. It's also possible that Byron wants him out there as a starter right now because he's a veteran and Byron wants the offensive and defensive systems to get started before bringing in the younger guys.

Once the Lakers are healthy again, I'd prefer to see Davis start, especially if Lin is going to continue to start. He and Davis seemed to be developing a pretty good chemistry that could help take some pressure off of Kobe.
