I'm still trying to figure out how the Steelers are still mathematically in it. I mean, the best they can do is 8-8. The worst Miami can do is 8-8, and they hold the head-to-head tie-breaker against us. Even with a 3 way tie with Baltimore, Miami still has a much better conference record than we do. I'm guessing the Jets factor into the equation somehow, but I'm not seeing it.

I just asked this same question in another thread... It doesn't make any sense to me either.

I think both the Bills & Jets have something to do with it. Since PIT has beaten both of those teams, and the Bills have beaten Miami once so far. But yea, best case scenario puts us at 8-8 in a possible 3-way tie with Miami & Baltimore. Confusing...

Beats me as well. I don't see any way possible PIT can make the 6th seed, but apparently there's a 1% chance.
