Anderson Silva, Nick Diaz both test positive for drugs - ESPN

Anderson Silva failed his prefight drug test for anabolic steroids. Also, Nick Diaz failed a postfight drug test for marijuana (shocker, I know). I watched their "fight" on Saturday. It was awful. Neither guy was serious about really fighting, Diaz especially. If this is Silva's last fight, that's a shameful way to go out; a lame performance and a failed steroid test.

This might be a dumb question....but why do the results of these failed drug tests always come out 1-2 days after the fight????

Why not get the results Saturday or sometime before the fight so they can suspend the fighter before hand and we don't have a tainted fight?

I guess so...get the fight in and get the money. Really taints the product. Wish they would let a fair fight happen.

Maybe after fights they should say "official decision will be announced Monday"
