One of the big 3 rumored to be what it would take to get Lowry - More than likely Chris Bosh, he, like Mario Chalmers, is a very underapperciated player by the team and fans - so, I wouldnt be surprised if he is the casualty in a trade.

This is what happens when a team doesnt spend their money on the right players to begin with or doesnt do it efficiently... we had scrub battier wasting money and a roster spot the last 3 seasons when we could have already had a guy like Lowry or any other guy and just maybe we wouldnt have choked in the finals -- Now, sadly, we may have to lose a quality player(s) to add someone else.

One signing cant make a team but it can easily break one for a long time and that guy for the Heat was scrub battier.

*Agree with BK and Avalon....no way we get rid of Chris. He is a rock and under appreciated. Think we could do more with an Ariza and another player rather than Lowry unless Wade ms knees are in really bad shape.

I think we are getting Lowry, but I don't think we are going to get rid of Bosh. Bosh/Wade opt out and take less money. Lowry/Napier are huge upgrades at the PG position over Chalmers/Cole. We pull this off and get big 3 back, we are easily going back to the finals next year.

Scrub Battier?

Admittedly, Battier is finished and that is why he is retiring, but how quickly you forget. Battier was a vital piece in 2012 and also made some pretty important contributions in 2013. If not for Shane Battier, LeBron might not have any rings right now. He was a defensive ace and arguably the most intelligent player in the NBA. His contributions usually do not appear on the stat sheet.

tlance, give it up. We've had this argument with him for years. Once he has an opinion about a player, he sticks with it despite the facts that are presented.

Sorry, I don't know who this guy is. I just know that Battier is a really good role player. Was not aware of the history here.

Which is why you always confirm through multiple sources like responsible journalists do.

Agreed. Though I have seen some take the approach Ric took in that he checked on the story with the one he considered his most credible source - so he didnt feel the need to varify further. Bad all around.

All of us know this except the 1 clown. This was Battier first down year and still he shot the ball pretty well in the playoffs.
