SOTG (Friday vs. Miami)

I figured we needed to start this. For those who don't know what it's all about, you pick a player in advance of the game who you think will be the star of the game.

Rules are pretty simple:
1. The Reds have to win. This is kind of unfair to a guy who had a great game in a losing cause but, hey ... life sucks sometimes.
2. A starting pitcher needs to have a boss game, not just a QS. Boss would be ... say, 15 Ks over 7 innings and shutout ball. Maybe a 3-hitter.
3. You can pick "bullpen" to cover for a top relief effort by several pitchers. An example would be Sam LeCure coming into the game in the 1st inning and going 3 innings to save the day, as he did in the LDS.
4. There can be co-stars. Discussion can occur if there is debate over the star.
5. A point goes to the person who got it right. When it's not clear, we basically just agree to disagree and give it to 2 people.

Just make sure you pick your guy before the game. TLakes has been kind enough to tally the points. The winner gets ... a date with Marge Schott's ghost.

You might want to wait until the lineup is posted if you aren't sure.

Hey - I won last year but I'm not sure I've collected yet. Don't remember any ghosts, but I did find a mysterious dogpile on my rug that our dog Indy swears wasn't his. Maybe I got ghost of Schotsie instead ?

You can pick same guy - everyone that picks the right guy gets a point- but if you're trying to be extra tricky and not share a point and pick someone no one else picks, thats a better way to win.

There are only a few shards of floaties left on the CBS shipwreck now...still the team general boards, but only zombies and serial masturbators are still there... Hoping the good guys pick up the SportsHoopla flare, but all the dregs die peacefully there.
