I guess it's generational. I put that one up originally because it was what i was listening to at the time and i forget how the other thread works (abc). Somehow got on a rap binge of songs when I was a Jr/Sr in HS or give or take a couple years. So many memories.

That being said, I went to New Zealand this past year and met a cat just like you. I introduced him to Television and he was like, yeah that's great, but he didn't care for any rap/hip hop song I tried on him.

Of course the band, what other television is there, yet this old cat still couldn't get behind the beauty that is rap/hiphop. it's all good. you may not like one or the other, but there's something there
