I have been Cowboy fan since the franchise started in 1960, I also like the Steelers and Bills when they are not playing the Cowboys.

So, when they both were duking it out for championships back in the day, who'd you root for? I promise not to tell if you, the original Cowboy fan pulled for the steel curtain back then! (I know I did!)

I like what Rivera is doing. if he's really giving his best and still fighting, and we are still losing. than you can't ask for more.
All ownership can do is fire him and move on. in fact i hope we lose out. the only problem is i don't think we are BAD enough to lose to the jets

I never thought he was checked out. Competitors don't do that. I think in 24 years of ownership Snyder never hired a qualified dedicated GM.I don't think it was a good idea to give that job to Rivera.

I said this in a previous post. Rivera has done what he was brought here to do. Provide cover for Snyder as his reputation as a person is above reproach. Unlike Snyder. If they won games and made the playoffs that was just a bonus.

My guess is ownership/Harris told Rivera he had to make the moves, but they wanted it to come from the coach so it seems like football guys are running things. Easier to hire new and good coaches next year if they think football guys are in charge. Who knows for sure, but better approach than Snyder ever took, for sure.

i hated dallas since the early 70s,but i had a lot of respect for tom landry who was a ww2 hero and lost a brother during ww2.i grew to hate them more for the way they treated him at his firing.
