As inconsistent as Cole and Chalmers are, would not be such a good thing to lose either one of those guys - Getting Napier and keeping the other two has to be made a priority - it can only help

chalmers made 4 million last year.. he just isn't worth that. you keep cole because he is still on rookie deal.


Lebron opting out when he did may have been the right move. heat can now aggressive pursue Napier. I think we can land him..although it could cost us Cole. We offer 2 1st rounders.. this year and next year (and don't lottery protect it) with Cole.. we probably got us Napier at 12. Makes LeBron happy.. more likely to come back. Also even if he spurns us.. Napier is still a solid PG and we are in the East.. with wade/bosh/LeBron's money we are going to be solid in the east and likely a contestant for the ECF if we can get right playoff matchups. With Lebron we are obviously frontrunners to win the East again.

Since they got the PG they wanted in the draft, Does Miami still look at guys like Lowry/Collison Livingston? Or are they just content with Napier and Cole? If they are ok with those 2, then they should take that extra $$ they would have spent on one of those FAs and get a better center. I really would love to see Gortat here with the Big 3 or even Gasol.. That would be an awesome starting 5 and then have Ariza off the bench..

Everyone wants to see the Heat get an impact center, and many times they can certainly use one - But, one thing to remember is, though the Heat are aware of the troubles the lack of a true center causes - I dont think they feel the need for one, at least not one that will play significant minutes - the reason is their style of play, they dont want the big guy to clog the lane for our attackers.
