Radical Moderate
He is not a typical #4 hitter, but he is on fire and Smoak is not.
Seager:
.272 BA .355 OBP .503 SLG 9 HR 36 RBI
(Over the past 24 games is hitting .333)
Smoak:
.217 BA .290 OBP .377 SLG 7 HR 29 RBI
(Over the past 24 games is hitting .170)
Smoak had been clutch at times this year, but I find it unlikely that he continues to hit so well with RISP and 2 outs.
We shouldn't waste the way our top of the order has been hitting on Justin Smoak, he has failed to drive in runs over the past month while Seager has been on fire. Put Seager in a place where he can knock in some runs.
