Sam 2012 versus Tebow 2011

This is highlarious. FF - has made me aware of some interesting FACTS about the 2 QB's and their 7/8 win seasons.

FF:

The Broncos won 7 regular season games with Tebow at QB in 2011. Here are the points totals conceded in those 7 wins:

By my reckoning that's 5 wins by the defense, 1 win by Tebow, and 1 push. The Broncos also managed to lose a game with Tebow at QB when they only conceded 7 points.

Let's look at the Rams wins in 2012:


week 2 vs. Redskins 31-28 <> Down 21-6 and after the Skins lose their 2 best D-lineman, Bradford rallies troops with 3 TDs, 300+ yards passing.

week 4 vs. Seattle 19-13 <> Greg hits 4 FGs. Defense played the best game versus R Wilson all year.

week 5 vs. Cardinals 17-3 <> Sam has 2 TDs, defense has 9 sacks and puts on a clinic.

week 12 @ Cardinals 31-17 <> Janoris has 2 pick 6's. Sam has 2 TD's and goes 8 for 17. Rams pick off rookie Lindsley 4 times.

week 13 vs. 49ers 16-13 OT <> 3 FGs from Greg Z and another Pick 6 by Janoris.

week 14 @ Buffalo 15-12 <> Sam goes 19 for 39 with 1 TD late in the 4th to win. SJAX scored 1 TD. Defense holds yet again on the road.

week 16 @ Tampa 28-14 <> Sam throws 2 TD's, Janoris has another pick 6 and the Rams pick off Freeman 4 times. LOL


As you can see, there are many variables to winning and losing ballgames. Like FGs, field position, turnovers.. But let's just say the Broncos D won every game but 1 in your formula. Applying the same formula to Bradford last year, of the 7 games we won... I would say that all but 2 games were won because of the Rams D! So seeing that Tebow missed the 1st 5 games of 2011 and only "won 1" game because the Defense won the rest...


Is Sam really any better?

Week 7: @ Miami 18-15 <> Down 15 with less than 4 minutes to play, Broncos come back to win behind 2 TDs from Tebow.

Week 9: @ oakland 38-24 <> Tebow goes 10 for 21 - 124 passing 2 TDs / 118 rushing. Scored 31 in the 2nd half.

week 10: @ KC 17-10 <> No Knowshon or McGahee, Timmy goes 2 for 8 - 69 passing 1 TD / 1 rushing TD. Defense owns Cassell.

week 11: Jets 17-10 <> Tebow faced a solid Jets D, had 20-yard touchdown run with 58 seconds left capped a 95-yard drive for the W. Timmy boy finished 9 for 20 in the game with 60 rushing.

week 12: @ San Diego OT 16-13 <> 9 for 18 - 143 yards 1 TD / 22 carries for 67 yards. Another close W on the road for Timmy.

week 13: @ Minnesota 35-32 <> 10 for 15 - 20 2 TDs / Ponder had 3 TD's 2 INTs. Denver had 1 pick 6. Another big road win for Timmy.

week 14: Chicago 13-10 OT <> 21 for 40 - 246 passing 1 TD / 56 rushing




Honestly, I think it might be more fun with Tebow at the helm. haha Maybe boring for 3 quarters, but at least no big let downs! Look at the road wins and the competition! It definitely was not all him, but interesting what he brought to the TEAM.

This is not an I hate Sam deal man. Please show me where I am hating Sam..? These are the games. These are the facts. This is what Fast Forward brought to everyone's attention regarding Tebow and how bad he is and how good his D was and "won all but 1 game for the Broncos in 2011".

This is a comparison. One that compares apples to apples. And it makes me laugh quite honestly.

I said I would not be negative towards Sam. This already happened my man - these are stats from the past. If you go back and read lately, I have complimented Sam the past 2 weeks for playing/managing good games (besides the pick 6).

Tebow probably won't get another chance in the NFL. Although, you can't discredit is work ethic.

Exactly SC. He doesn't have the most talent, but he seems to get the most out of everyone on the team around him because he works so hard. That contagious kind of like the drops. Teammates love him. He did it at Florida and in Denver.

I get no one wants a media circus around their backup QB.

So do I, just to eliminate all doubt that he doesn't belong in the NFL. Just not on the Rams or my local Bills.

Hahaha. I really do not see much difference in these 2 seasons at all. If you really read the 2 posts, it confirms it.

And I guarantee that Tebow could do a better job than Clemens.
