Gained:
Seattle selected up right-handed pitcher Isaac Sanchez from the Pirates. The 23-year-old reliever went 2-3 with a 2.71 ERA in 42 relief appearances with Class A Bradenton in 2015. Opponents hit .242 against him and he struck out 51 batters in 66 1/3 innings with 24 walks.
“Isaac was a guy that our scouts and our analytics department really liked,” Allison said. “We think he adds some depth to our organization. He does profile more as a reliever for us, but we’ll see when we get him in the hands of our player development staff.”
