did he age 10 years during his time away with injury? like _Phillies_ mentioned in another thread, he sweats like a freaking mule anymore, its like he just got done laying pipe in Texas heat and its not even the end of the 1st inning. its weird

Hes had some ok starts since his return, but IMO, he's toast. Of course, I mentioned he was toast back in March on the ESPN boards and everyone got in a hissy fit.

At this point, I don't even see Amaro bringing him back

At 36, he came back too soon after shoulder surgery on May 15. The Phillies are at fault for allowing it. It seems like more than his shoulder and arm though. After 10 pitches, huge drops of sweat were pouring from his nose on to the mound. Next April, well find out if he is worn out for good.

Some other team will be finding this out...

Gents see my other thread where I explain the symptoms of untreated heat exhaustion which Halladay contracted last year in Chicago. The dumbass Phillies training staff missed it and now the smallest amount of exertions results in an overreaction of his body. He has all the classic symptoms and it remains untreated. Yep he is done. Literally cooked!!

It appears also that he's lost a lot of weight.

Yea jvett. He does not look healthy at all. He is done and should consider coaching with Sandberg.

Well, to ask Halladay in his condition to continue to play is really not good and could be dangerous to Halladay's health long-term. This is where brain-dead needs to step in and get Halladay the proper treatment and get middle relief as well. If not, this may not end well for Halladay or the Phillies.

Well Raptor, that may be true but that still is not going to fix the ramifications of his untreated heat exhaustion which he still has. Now if you are stating that the Blue Jays will get him treated, then he may still have something left but right now he is bad shape!

Good, take him. Halladay was awesome, but the Phillies should not resign him. Much like how they shouldn't have resigned Rollins, Utley, and how they shouldn't resign Ruiz.
