Just saw this on CSN Philly. Such a sad day for Flyer Nation. Ed was a great owner and he did everything for the fanbase to try to put out a winning product. I really wish we could have gotten another Cup while he was still around. You will be missed Ed. RIP and hopefully we will get a Cup soon in your memory.

What a sad day.. had the feeling it wasn't going well for Mr. Snider the past couple weeks with the team picture and the national anthem. Still just awful news.

A legend was lost today. I thank Mr. Snider for the top tier organization and culture he has built and fear the changes to come in his absence.

I had no idea Mr. Snyder was sick till about 2 weeks ago when it was mentioned on one of the sports talk morning shows.

Not sure about the details of Comcast Spectacor or who the owner will be, but it sounds like Holmgren will be in charge of running the Flyers as the President.

I wish to offer my condolences to Mr. Snider's family. I have nothing but respect for an owner who is not only their biggest fan but does everything in his power to win. Hopefully the Flyers can win one for him soon! Ed you will be missed now GOOOOOOO Flyers!!!!!!! Cheers to you!

We owe everything to Ed Snider. This is a tough blow. I hope our team is able to focus moving forward and play for him as opposed to sulking at this incredible loss.

I'm more than sure that the message in the locker room is that we need to move forward and do what Ed Snider would most want. Shock the world and win the whole fucking thing.

I have a feeling that our boys would run through a brick wall for Ed, so let's get this done. There is no possible greater motivation for winning a Cup than to do it for Ed Snider.
