I just don’t get it and it’s a bizarre lineup

It's the classic - shake them up line up card. I like it - the White Sox have been on a power outage and have struggled at the plate for 5 straight games.

I hope the guys have some fun with it - it will get everyone to focus their mind on what various spots in the order means to their approach at the plate - and hopefully break the pattern of the last few games.

Day game - the Sox will see the ball better.

I probably would have swapped Jimenez and Garcia, but I understand why Ricky is going for the shake up. And maybe having Eloy hitting between Moncada and Abreu will get him fatter pitches to hit. He's due to break out of his mini slump.

I actually like what he did with Eloy DH'ing and Engel in left. I mean, if Engel is going to stay this hot. You might as well get him out there in left in place of Eloy - so long as you can still keep Eloy's bat in the lineup.

Eloy vs Engel is literally the difference between a gold glove caliber outfielder and one of the worst outfield gloves in all of baseball.
