Just because they "Could" doesn't mean they "Did".

Nonsense !!! Back in 1966 when you could really play defense Washington outscored the Giants 72-41. If that game was played in today's rules it would easily be a 100-75 game

Here's my favorite Deadskins score. Granted I wasn't born yet.

December 8, 1940

On December 8, 1940, the Chicago Bears trounce the Washington Redskins in the National Football League (NFL) Championship by a score of 73-0, the largest margin of defeat in NFL history.

At least the Bears played Defense.

Incredible defense on display!!!!!

I agree 21 pts scored by D. Rams D picked off Mahomes 3 times and he fumbled twice , and Rams had a fumble too, for 6 t/o's

The 2009 WC shootout between Rodgers and Warner comes to mind as one of those "wow" games. Being a playoff game and going to OT and broke the playoff record gives it a little more weight than a regular season game, imo.
This was the greatest live football game I have ever been to. It is considered one of the greatest playoff games of all time.

Final Score in OT - 51 - 45 Cards!

Rodgers:
28/42 - 423 yards - 4 TD 1 int Rating 121.4
Warner:
29/33 - 370 yards - 5 TD 0 int Rating 154.1

The greatest part of this game is the Cards won it in OT on a defensive TD - Sack/Fumble/TD
A well worth it 2 minute recap

Yup, that’s the first game I thought about.....no one would ever believe that Ken O’Brien was involved in a classic shootout like that....

O'Brien was a strange one....his 1985 season is really solid and for the first 10 weeks or so of the 1986 season, you'd thought he was the best QB in the NFL. And that was basically it.

Man, it was harder to move the ball back then also, back when you could actually hit receivers and knock QB's around...
