In defense of Tampa, they should be called the St Pete Rays.
from the actual city of tampa, you are looking at 45 mins to an hour drive to the stadium plus the most of the actual tampa population is moving north, so you add another 30-45 mins to that trip...
for years, the tampa residents have asked for a stadium and they will support a team in "their city". Look at the Lightning attendance over the years since they moved from St Pete to Tampa.
