Ray Rice has been cleared to play again in the NFL. I think that we all agree that what he did was shameful. He has publicly apologized for what he did. A man should never hit a woman and he did. At some point though he will get a second chance to show that he can contribute to a team without embarrassing a franchise. My guess is that he will make a team better. Teams will be reluctant to deal with the negative publicity though. He may change though and be a good addition to a team.

The Fins have avoided bad publicity this year & I am sure they're glad about that. That said, Rice could make the Fins running game even better. The question is it worth the media storm. Another factor is: Will Rice be willing to share carries with L Miller? Plus the Fins have good team chemistry. Giving second chances has worked out well for the Pats. The Fins had a tough break when Moreno got injured. I hope he recovers well. I like the RB by committee approach. D Thomas & Williams have played well at times.

He was cleared by a judge - who has been criticized for the decision and comments - and reinstated by the NFL - But the man is clearly more than guilty of the allegations. I think it would be foolish for this organization to bring in a guy in that situation when it is trying to clean up its image after the bullying scandal. No disrespect, but to even suggest the Fins to go after him at this point is just sadly laughable. I was on his bandwagon in the off-season before all this happend - but not now - its not a good idea for the parties involved.

Paolo, I never said that they should sign him. I am discussing both the negatives and positives of signing him.

Other than him having pro bowl level talent and super bowl experience as a RB.
