Bryant McKinnie - T - Vikings

Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times is hearing the Ravens are "very interested" in free agent LT Bryant McKinnie.
Jensen is a former Vikings beat writer, so it's no surprise that he'd have sources close to McKinnie. Baltimore's tackles have been a disaster since the first preseason game, and rookie Jah Reid is clearly more developmental project than possible starter. As long as McKinnie has dropped 25-30 pounds, he'd be a worthwhile gamble for the Ravens.

LOL. I'm not surprised one bit. The Ravens need all the help they can get on the o-line. And it looks like they're getting a little desperate.

Well they signed him to a two year deal. They have nobody at RT. 2 years for 7.5 only 1 mill is guaranteed.

Ravens' OTs have been a disaster? What's up with Oher?

I'll just say Oher isn't proving he's worthy of being a 1st round pick so far.

He's a worthy first round pick just not that high. He's shown he's a RT and not a LT, right? There are several of us who are against taking RTs high in the first round.

Wasn't he taken like 23rd? Or you mean in general?

In general. Like if we had taken him at 10 we'd probably be disappointed if he wasnt a dominate LT.

I respect the Ravens front office, so I'm wondering whet they see in him. They must think they can get him back into football shape. Might be worth a look for them at the minimum. Or he could be a minor miss if they handle it right.

He's a disaster..And he's have to drop about 70lbs to get to shape.
He can't protect the blind side at all. Is Flacco a lefty? McDumazz might work out if he is..

Terrible news, I expected better from Oher.

They better have a McDonalds clause in that deal...

That's actually a good siging for the Ravens IMO. Gaither wasn't reliable because of health issues, and they needed a tackle badly.

Didn't the Ravens want Joe Staley back in '07? I wouldn't have been opposed to the Niners trading him. I feel weird saying that because I'm almost never one to advocate trades. :)

Wasn't Michael Oher supposed to be the best OT prospect ever? :)
