A couple thoughts:

First off, I think your IF is awesome and 2/3 of your OF is too.

Zobrist's value lies in his ability to play multiple positions. I know his numbers look solid from last year, but I would rather start Trumbo in the OF and Hill at Util with Zobrist as your bench replacement.

All your other hitters can safely be dropped for pitching depth (especially Ichiro who is the 5th OF in NY). These guys are significantly worse than your starters, so there is really no reason to stash them on your bench. Use your bench to shore up your pitching weakness and to take advantage of match-ups.

The issue, as others have stated is with your pitching. If this is a points league, I would not worry too much about the closers. You have two low end options, but I think you will be fine. Just be ready on the waiver wire as others emerge.

Your real issue is with the starters. I love Cole and I like Teheran. Tanaka will be OK, although I am betting he does not live up to the hype (at least not this year).

The rest of your staff is a train wreck. Gallardo is done. Peavy is a flier, but has limited upside and a lot of injury risk. Parker and Masterson are both kind of boring low end options.

I might start Hill over Kipnis. Both are pretty close though. Hill has more pop

Kipnis is a top 3 2B on every list I have seen. I agree on starting Hill, but not over Kipnis.

I might be the biggest Cole supporter around, but like tlance I'm concerned about your rotation.
For some, it's such a strength: picking up SP options week by week and doing exceptionally well. If that's you, then you'll probably be fine.
While your bats are good, I'd swap your bench bats for arms too. I think tlance nailed this one!

Also, even though your offense is great and probably the best overall offense, you are lacking in the HR category in a 12 team league. Teams are going to be built for HRs.

Good move. Lord Farquhar has now become moot.

Yeah, I'm thinking he should do well in Boston....Plus Ichiro most likely would just be riding my bench anyway

bad pick up... Mujica is not even the closer in Boston!!! Unless you do holds as well, mujica is going to ride the bench all season...

Thanks. Trying to get an idea of where guys went and what position you were in. Assuming you went with McCutchen 4th overall.

I'm picking 11th/12 in my draft next month. Want to get a feel for how things went from looking at yours.

I think Mujica has a better chance to regain a closer role than Farquhar, but you've got a good point. Maybe keeping an eye on a guy like K-Rod would be a good idea, if he's available.

But does that mean that Rodney will be the closer???

I'd think yes. I'm not a Rodney fan and would rather see Lord Farquhar or even The Bartender in the running for fantasy closer spots, but unless he falls on his face, I would say the job is his.

True, he most likely isn't the Red Sox closer as Koji pretty much has sewn up that position but at the time he was the best reliever available.
