Ranking NL Staffs using FIP

We sort all pitchers who have started a game and had a minimum of 30IP by FIP. We then define groupings of these pitchers every 160 starts, the first of these groups are designated as #1 starters. Each subsequent group of 160 is incremented by 1, until all pitchers are ranked. We then sort the rankings by team and average the rankings to obtain the list you see above.

I think that's too broad a sweep. I'd be interested in the same sort using 50IP and 3 starts.

Dunno. But it would leave out peripheral guys who aren't really part of their respective staffs. Might not change anything, but it'd be a better ranking.

Interesting. So if you kept the inning requirement as is, and raised the GS to a minimum of 5, the rankings wouldn't change at all?
