Let's see if the downward trend continues or if the team can turn it around.

I think the Rangers will be in on Cody Bellinger.

From Scott Lucas:

About an hour before game-time, Frisco announced Jack Leiter's addition to the active roster as Sunday's starter. His return began inauspiciously, as leadoff hitter Caeden Trinkle turned an 0-2 inside slider into a souvenir. Thereafter, Leiter was never seriously threatened, dispatching nine of the next 11 batters without too much trouble. His slider may have been the most dazzling, if also erratic. Some were running too far outside from the get-go and easy to lay off. His other two hits were on sliders he'd want back. The fastball was most consistent. He largely avoided the glove-side issues that plagued earlier starts and was effective up high. It is well beyond the means of AA hitters when dealt effectively. He also mixed in a few effective curves. Leiter didn't walk anyone, reached only one three-ball count, and always appeared comfortable and on track. All told, a promising return.

More from Scott Lucas:

DH Wyatt Langford: 2-4, 2B, BB, SB (6), .314/.455/.586
1B Abi Ortiz: 2-4, 2B, BB, .300/.350/.638

One pre-draft observation about Wyatt Langford was that he had more speed than was apparent in games. So far at Hickory, he's attempting to steal more than twice as often as during his college days

Former Rangers manager. He took over after the great Billy Hunter was fired and was replaced by the great Don Zimmer.

Can see them seriously challenging for starting positions in 2025 and probably getting some playing time in September 2024

That might be hard to do if Carter and Bellinger are already here. Langford, yes, but Ortiz would be the odd man out.

We’ll definitely find out what we’re made of tomorrow because long game today, big series coming up,” said second baseman Marcus Semien, who had two hits on Sunday. “I think that we’ll learn from it. Whatever little things didn’t get done, we’ll learn from it and move on.”

Marcus quote which I definitely agree with

If Carter is in RF, Bellinger in CF, we could put Langford in LF and maybe if Ortiz has a strong ST they might consider trading Lowe

Jeff Wilson suggests Hernandez could be sent down to bring up a fresh arm.

Bullpen & Bench will have to be worked on this offseason. Burke & Sborz are basically the keepers in the pen and Duran is the only bench player as everyone else are FA’s

Bring up Bradford and Heaney to pen
I don't think Bochy would feel right taking a veteran out of the rotation and replacing him with a rookie. I think it would take an injury to a starter to get Bradford in the rotation.

It would depend more on whom they’re considering bringing up than whom they would move to the pen. I never got the impression that either Bochy and Maddux had faith in Bradford’ control or how long he would last in an appearance. Watching them during his appearances they were talking the whole time and they were quick to get others up in the pen.

That is a problem if Bochy feels that way. You put the best bet first. Rookie/ veteran makes no difference. It is about winning and not worrying about hurting feelings. Heaney has had his chance to shine same as Perez.

I agree. I think big league managers feel it would hurt the morale of the whole team, veterans at least, so they try to avoid that kind of replacement when they can.
