On the radio they explained this. They said it is because of the great extension Cody gets, making the ball get there faster. He is in the 98th percentile in extension.

I remember your posts last year wanting to see Bradford in the rotation more, Could this be a part of why C.Young did not bring back Montgomery? I know losing Bally sports may have had something to with that, but honestly I don’t have enough insight on whether it was a factor.

It is hard to say because Mongomery would have easily placed them into that next luxury tax threshold. I don't think they wanted to do that.

So I am not sure about CY, but Bradford is one reason why I wasn't worried about signing Montgomery.

Bradford is at least our third best member of the rotation, and he could be better than the #2 guy, Dane Dunning.

He really impressed me in his last full season in the minors, in 2022. At some point in the last half of that season something clicked with him. I have been a believer ever since, but doing this well against the Astros is somewhat surprising even to me.

Owen White pitched well through 4 innings, but ran into trouble in the 5th.

Both Acker and Santos had good outings for Frisco and Hickory tonight.
