Wait and see.
i know they won't do anything except maybe bring in someone barely adequate or worse and then pray. or just go with Grant Anderson, Rudriguez, Latz and Hernandez etc. hell they'll probably trade for Chapman again

Kind of wish they put Scherzer on 60
Day sooner. Hate to see Leiter thrown to the wolves. He did not look mentally ready as well
Had the look of a deer a tad overwhelmed

They just seem to nor understand how to develop pitchers even after several changes in the organization.

Leiter needs 15 to 20 good outings in the minors before even being considered to pitch for the Rangers.

more and more i'm wondering if we go after Mason Miller
I’ve been wondering that too, especially after the Grossman pickup. It seems Bochy and CY are going on a formula with what worked before will work again.
I can see CY overpaying and getting Miller around June 30th which coincides with the Chapman deal. The Cubs and Orioles are reported in on this but the A’s want 3 top prospects and the Cubs and Orioles most likely won’t do that.
We know CY will overpay so my hunch is he’ll get it done.
The A’s want to have a contender no later than opening day in Las Vegas so they are motivated to move Miller.

I think of he is traded it will be closer to the deadline. Chapman went earlier because KC knew he might not bring as much later. Miller's value is not like that at all.

Gray has been super thru the first quarter of the season. After watching him so far as a Ranger and last year in the playoffs I always thought he had good number 2 stuff. Just a matter of being more consistent

I read an article this morning about what the author thought it would take for the Yankees to land Mason Miller. He thought it would take their #3, #4, and #5 prospects.

Our #2 prospect, Sebastian Walcott is ranked slightly lower than the Yankees #3 guy. We don't have anyone beyond Walsott who is as highly ranked as the Yankees #4 prospect. Therefore to match the proposed Yankees offer we would have to give up more than our #3, #4, and #5 prospects. Maybe adding our #6 or #7 would be enough, maybe not.

It depends on which list you are checking, but our #4 through #6 guys usually include names like the following:

Justin Foscue
Kumar Rocker
Brock Porter
Anthony Gutierrez
Jack Leiter

So, to see who it might take to land Mason Miller, pick out who you think the top three guys from the list above are, and add Walcott to that list. Then you have a trade proposal that might land Miller.

From Scott Lucas:

Lefty Antoine Kelly entered the 9th inning, threw six pitches far below his usual velocity, motioned for the trainer, and walked to the dugout. Ordinarily a steady 96 MPH and up to 99 with the fastball, Kelly descended from 94 to 89 across his five heaters. He wasn't doing any of the between-pitch "arm waggle" I've seen from others in this situation but tapped his forearm with his glove when trainer Will Whitehead reached the mound. Kelly's entry in the 9th was planned in advance, but he had to wait through a 26-minute bottom half of the 8th. Until Jack Leiter and Owen White were optioned back to Round Rock, Kelly was briefly the only healthy 40-man pitcher in the minors. Given his mostly strong outings and the circumstances at the parent club, an MLB debut seemed forthcoming. Now, we have to hope for favorable news

Lol. Just wait until he is released if that is the option. Let's hope it doesn't come to that. Then again, we got Grossman back so they could want Chapman back as well.
