Rams Cut Two Players Today

In what will be the first of many cuts, the Rams waived OT Terrell Brown and LB Phillip Steward. No surprises since both were at the bottom of their position depth charts.

It would have been fun though to see brown in training camp!

Ah man! I was hoping Brown would have made it. Big, big dude. May be we will see him in the future. Steward is no surprise. Good to see you RamCub as the faithful come out of the woodwork. We have newbies from ESPN as well as that board has crashed and closed. So there will be a lot of new faces.

Retro, I just wanted to see how the players were going to haze Brown if he made the team! Maybe he will end up on the practice squad at some point. Welcome to all the ESPN refugees!!!

That is true. I think he is a project worth keeping before another club takes a chance on him.

They could still end up being resigned if an injury occurs in preseason... but I expect another team to sign them very quickly to their team or practice squad.

Looks like Rams will sign old ram Will Witherspoon. Not sure if I really like this move.

Even with all of the new guys, we are still a little thin at LB. May be brought in for leadership that Fisher is doing with a number of positions.

That is exactly it...leadership and a teacher/mentor for JL55 on how to become more of a leader. He will play snaps now and then giving Dunbar and JL55 a rest and maybe some special teams if he is brought in.

Witherspoon has gotten a little bigger since his days with us. He is a bigger, wiser vet these days and this might be a pretty good pick-up.
