Texans acquire Skowronek in trade with Rams

Skow is a free agent at the end of the year, being his a good utility player he fits our role but most likely could have a chance at being at least a 3rd WR elsewhere and with the money going around, he would get more money than we are willing to offer. Skow should happy at the opportunity to get more money and a bigger role, even if it elsewhere.

Looks like the updated version of sending the STs captain out the door is he is going to the Texans with our 2025 7th Round Pick and we get the Texans 6th Round pick back.

Giving away players again. Why not send Skowronek and our 7th Rounder for their 4th Rounder or just Skowronek for their 6th or 4th Rounder.

More evidence to suggest that McShitferBrains is continuing a progression that has him mimiking one Mike Martz. Martz was a fabulous coordinator but horrible at HC because he sucked at player management and development and of course judging talent in the draft.

They were going to release him for nothing.

The fact they got something last minute was impressive.

A 6th for a 7th swap is good for a player with little value left on the team, and the ST’s was one of the worst in the league, so it’s not like he’s a standout there.

Plus, this opens the door for Whittington who is a better player all around.

It’s a win-win.

They likely drafted his replacement in Jordan Whittington and also have Tyler Johnson and Xavier Smith to absorb his role (along with the UDFAs if they make the roster).

And it saves the Rams a million and change with only a 21 thou and change cap hit in dead money this coming season. Dude just wasn't consistent enough and captained the worst STs unit in the league.
