I think that is just about right.... if things go right, we could end up higher (aka if Bradford can stay upright more than on his back)

Key word is "preseason". I can't really argue the ranking, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it a bit better than that come January.

You look at how much better Seattle was at the end of the season compared to the beginning in 2012. I think we have that potential in 2013 if we get everyone on the same page and healthy.

Clayton, they were as low as 26 last season. Things change fast when guys start making plays.

Alot of IFs there. So many things can happen. The only thing worse than NFL preseason rankings are NCAA football preseason rankings.

Nice to see the Rams getting a little respect.

The problem with NCAA football preseason rankings is that they set the narrative for the team for the rest of the season. A team like Oklahoma St always has to win 8 games in a row before they get put up in the top 10 while a team like USC has to lose at least 3 games before they get bumped out of the top 10.

All other power rankings are thankfully quite meaningless. And in MLB, they are almost always very, very wrong at the beginning of the season.

The only ranking that matters are the Standings during the Regular Season. Rams have the potential to do well this Season, but the actual games will tell the tale.

I think our O is going to be immensely improved with all of the big bodies we now have in camp for the O-line. We all stated last year that we had to get bigger with more talent and we now have that. I think Sammie will be doing a lot of staying upright this year more than any time in the past.

I enjoy the level-headedness of this board. No one is in here naming the Rams Champions but we are all optimistic. I just thought I'd point out the realistic expectation we all seem to put on this team and not get ahead of ourselves with optimism. The thought crossed my mind as I read down this thread because so many places have rash fans that make trying to actually discuss football painful.

NCAA rankings used to piss me off a lot more than they used to. Now its just the bowl system as a whole that does. If Ohio St had been eligible last season they would have played ND in the National Championship game and I think we can all agree that would not been the correct matchup. I think the new 4-game playoff will improve this a little bit and make it even harder for anyone to dethrone the SEC.

I think 15 is fair. Our Rams are a couple of years away from being a contender. We are young and it will take some time to develope. We are, for sure, on the right track though and I am excited. But hey, anything can happen as well all know way too well (1999-2000). Go Rams!

Yea TEB11. I think we will see continued improvement as a team and we could contend this year if we stay healthy and we gel as a team. Our O-line is going to be way better and our defense got better with the addition of Ogletree and the bevy of new young safeties. Should be interesting and definitely exciting, no doubt!!

With 2 more 1sts next year, they should be able to continue filling large holes and hopefully get some depth.

Would not doubt 9-7 this season and probably just miss the playoffs. I look for the Rams to continue to improve and 2014 and 15 is the time to watch. I am happy as long as the team continues to go in the right direct. The problem with Spags and the mess in the front office was, "THEY HAD NO DIRECTION". Thank God they are gone.

I'm thinking this past draft is really going to help our team. I'm hopin Ogltree/Austin and company are the missing pieces that put us above .500 this year. It's time to surprise the division.
