QB dilemma

I have to decide soon between starting Alex Smith at Washington or Josh McCown versus Dallas. I love the weapons that McCown has, so I'm inclined to go with him. Problem is that Cutler is healthy and I'm afraid that Trestman, despite having said that McCown will start, might make a last minute switch. I'd really hate to take a zero from my QB in a playoff game. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Cutler is getting healthier, but the Bears ruled him out on Thursday. You are safe to start McCown and he is the best option of the two.

If Cutler is a FA still, I would drop Smith for Cutler so that you can continue to start the Bears QB next week.

You would not be starting Smith anyway. I would not take the chance that somebody beats you to him on the waiver wire.

No. It's all locked up from kickoff Thursday til the end of the game on MNF.
