Proposed New NFL Helmet Designs

Did any of you see this? These are simply an idea from a designer and not necessarily anything that will be implemented anytime soon (or perhaps ever)?

Some of these are alright but some IMO are just awful (Dolphins, Giants, Browns, Packers, etc).

What do you think?

Agreed. Some are pretty slick and others are not.

People just always want to tinker with the tried and true. Like all of the new flavors for Oreos.

Just leave the classics alone!!

Some of them (Chargers, Cowboys) look okay. The Dolphins one is ugly as fuck, as is the Steelers one.

They almost need to be turned inside out. The outer shell needs to be a semi soft energy adsorbing material, followed by a firm shell and then head cushions on the inside.

There is zero energy being adsorbed by the helmet at the initial point of contact. That energy has to go somewhere.

Chiefs helmet was hideous. And why put the flag on the Giants helmet? Most of them are just taking the current helmet, blowing up the logo on the side and changing the helmet color. Not real creative IMHO.

There are some who believe, and have some scientific backing, that if they went back to leather helmets that concussions would be reduced.

Along the same lines as your Cowboys comment - why oh why would you ever change the Packers helmet? Especially when it is changed with that awful white background.

Cowboys should just never change.

Falcons look nice, and whoever would get the Oilers helmet yes!!

It's somewhat funny however that these are new and improved helmets, but really all they are are extremely oversized photos of the teams logos placed on their helmets....

I kinda like em all.....The Ravens should have the red eyes on it though and the Bears looks like Jamie Dukes more than a bear.....The Raiders was awesome !!

Bright yellow doesn't go very well as a secondary to bright red. Maybe as a tertiary, but that's it.
