Take out the outlier 29-0 and it's a pretty good normal distribution centered at 17.5 wins

Is it pantshatting to watch the team struggle and be mad about it? Or to correctly moan that yet again we lose a star player to injury, which means some more losses than normal?

If we can go .500 while Panda is out that will be a miracle and we'll still have a shot. But if we go 12-24 while he's out, this year is toast.

That's just the reality, not pantshatality.

I'd say it's pessimism, but fair to point out. But it's no lock. Not like these guys didn't all pitch well last year with the same problem. All damn year.

Yep, a pretty good one I think. They're 5-7 with 17 to play. They'd need to go exactly 10-7 for you to win. Just like the Price is Right, it's closest without going OVER.
