Saturday's Race. Like last year, we will use this thread for both races: One on Saturday and one on Sunday. After the first practice, Tony Kanaan looks stout with surprise Sage Carem running second. Looks can be deceiving especially in IndyCar this year.

Pagenaud and Montoilet occupy one-two with Sage Karem in third and Dixon sneaking up to fourth. Interesting indeed.

Montoliet and Power seem to be hot right now. So for tomorrow's race, I am going to go with Montoliet, Power, and Dixon.

I'll take Power, Montoya and Sato.

After seeing the last practice and on second thought, I'll take Power, Kanaan, and Montoliet.

Gotta love racing in the rain: It separates the men from the boys.

Your boy Sato is the new leader in the rain and in a Honda, Indy.

Kanaan just got taken out by a wreck in the back. Calais gets into Jakes which nails Kanaan and Rahal. Kanaan may get back with some repairs. There goes one of my picks.

The race reminds me of that cluster mess in NOLA earlier in the year. This could be a race of attrition.

Kimball hits the cement barriers on slicks and getting airborne. Another one bites the dust.

Power's crew members screwed up and got the left rear stuck and Marco Andretti and his father are looking like geniuses for changing over to slicks before anyone else.

Andretti leads followed by a pair of Italians and Hunter-Reay is fifth. Wow! Sato is another accident and got a lucky break with the yellow to change his nose.

Dixon's crew taking a real gamble there...

Holy Cow. Marco is calling a great race with his father. Everyone is expecting rain but it hasn't showed up yet and Marco stayed out way longer than Michael wanted but it was a good call.

Munoz has a 22 second lead on Andretti and it is raining. Munoz took Andretti's strategy and when even further than Marco to gain the huge lead. What a race!

Now it is raining but folks went quite awhile on wets when the track was still dry. This could play into the race in the later stages.

Munoz is now way out front. Wow, could it be Andretti Autosport one-two?

The race goes 70 laps or two hours which ever comes first.

Yellow out for lightning. Should bunch everyone up. Here we go for the final laps.
