BTW, ESPN has a video of Galvis's bare handed play to get Flores out at 1st... looked awesome.

I agree Northeast. Our on-fire bats we watched during ST have gone relatively quiet and I'd like to see more hits as well.

ST always seems to have more hits for every team. Most pitchers are trying out new pitches, which leaves plenty of room for mistakes.

I doubt we will hitting like that for a while, the good news is that its warming up and the bats should get a bit more pop.

Yea I here ya' Frizzle. We just need more from our offense to support our developing pitching that struggles at times. We are midpack in the division so things are on the positive side as we continue a long rebuild.

Hey, at 7-9 we're 2 games ahead of last season's pace of 5-11 after 16 games. Looking at the last four years, we should win 73 to 81 games. Very scientific, proven analysis. I think we have the pitching to get to 81 wins but we might need a new hitting coach.

2015 5-11: 63-99
2014 7-9: 73-89
2013 6-10: 73-89
2012 7-9: 81-81

I agree jvett. 81 wins are well within our reach if we continue to get rid of the dead weight and find productive people in all facets of the game.

Nick Williams is the best right field option, and it's not even close

Yeah, but seriously I would rather see Williams in right field than Bourjos. Actually, I just looked up his stats and he's not doing well. Once he gets that OBP up around .340 he needs to be called up

I'm glad you corrected yourself. If Williams can't hit AAA pitching, then forget it. Even infamous dom brown hit at AAA before bombing out in the bigs.

Williams is going thru that "shit, I forgot how to hit syndrome", hitting just .184 (7 for 38), no homers, and 11 strikeouts.
