The Doobster likes the Flyers' chances in this one. Hurricanes are hurting bad at goalie right now. I expect the Flyers to win 4-2.

With the game being televised around the US tomorrow, I think Claude Giroux gets his first goal

Hate to be technical, but at this rate he would end up with 0 on the year.

I think what he's saying is if he gets his first goal tomorrow than with the number of national TV games this season, he'll probably score a goal only on the nationally televised games this season lol

I still say G will eventually get scorching hot and end up with around 20 goals and 50+ assists. That's a conservative estimate even, to me at least.

Meanwhile, I love seeing all of the teams just ahead of us in the standings struggle mightily. The Canes are one of them and a regulation win tonight will go a long way toward catching and passing them. Then we have the Devils again and a win there will move us past them as well. Again, the upcoming schedule is very weak and full of teams that give up loads of goals, so we should start scoring soon.

Last meeting:10/5/13 @ Carolina, Hurricanes won 2-1

Doob's take
Flyers game has been up and down as of late, but the Hurricanes have been down & downer. Justin Peters has been a disaster for the team, giving up 17 goals in 5 starts, and going 0-5 in the process. He even seems to be getting worse with every game. I expect the Flyers to take advantage and win in a route. Doob picks the Flyers 4-1.

Yeah G is going to start getting really hot and it's going to make a difference for the team - the Flyers got this

I can't expect my team to be relentless and never say die if I'm not the exact same way as a fan in support of them. And they will rebound from this.

Not that anyone wants my opinion on this but I think this is a fluke start. They will eventually get the ball rolling and fight for a playoff spot. With Giroux not having a goal yet this year, its not like he suddenly sucks and same for the rest of the team. Things will change and will change quick.

I have no doubt that this team can and will pick it up, I'm just afraid that we'll heat up in February when it is too late.

Yes I think that's their biggest problem or will be once they get going. Can they get out of the hole early enough to cover ground and grab a playoff spot. I think they turn it around very soon.

No, I don't "like" the Flyers but I don't believe its a good thing for the league that this franchise is down and out like this. I respect them as a franchise and who doesn't want the Pens/Flyers rivalry to be competitive like it has been the last handful of years? You guys gotta be loving having Vinny this year at least? I have always liked him and he is going to be a huge part of this turnaround!
