Kunitz really turned on his game in the second. He looked great. Bennett might be the right guy for Sid's right side, too. Heady player, seemed to be on the same page as Sid, too, and he can carry the puck.

Unfortunately, it was too little too late. Third and fourth lines were a bit flat today, and the defense didn't look great, but the top two lines looked dynamic, and Maatta looked better than I expected for his first game back.

Read about the last Pens game

At least Sid had a good game.

Internet access is pretty good here, I think I might be able to keep up with posting the game week threads.

Not sure why Scuderi is in the lineup but good to see Maatta scoring.

It seems Kessel is down low defensively a lot. That doesn't seem to be idea. The Pens might need to look at that in their defensive system. Stewart scored a goal right in front of the net, and Kessel was the closest man to him. That tells me the defense are chasing too much.

Watching Sid tip passes in front of the net makes me yearn for the days when he could score 40+. Wish he would go back to being that guy.
