Doob's take: tough loss last night, but we gotta bounce back. Red Wings have been very stingy defensively, so our offense will be tested. It's very hard for me to be optimistic about this game considering how we played last night, so I'm going to pick the Red Wings to win this game 3-2. Hopefully I'm wrong tho.

I really hope Thomas Greiss starts tonight. I'm not too fond of MAF right now. That was really stupid of Rutherford to say MAF will be the goalie for as long as he's GM. I was hoping MAF would have something to play for this season. Now it appears it's going to be the same old MAF.

It's too early in the new regime to write the Pens off...it takes time for the system/style to gel and all the new players/rolls to bond and coalesce. If in another month, the Pens still play shitty, then time to shop Malkintent, Letang, etc....

Will withhold judgement, old habits die hard, and the Pens looked like a DB team last night. Flyers bring out the worst in them, they are going to have to conquer that beast on their own.

Rough ending, not sure why they can't hold the lead in the last few minutes, that's twice already, something that needs to be worked on.

Also, Dupuis, Sid, and Kunitz all three need to learn how to move the puck effectively. Fast is not always better, can't count how many times I've seen each guy move a puck for the sake of moving it, only to be a terrible turnover.

Not the end of the season for you all. Keep your beaks up high my friends! The Guins really look good to me this year. I think they'll be a definite contender barring any injuries. Sid the kid still looks great! What an asset this season so far!

Doob's take: crummy week for the Pens, we lost to our archival Flyers in typical fashion, we blew a 2 goal 3rd period lead to the Red Wings and lost in OT. Now we face a Predators team that has yet to lose in regulation & is coming off a victory of the Chicago Blackhawks. I really hope the Pens don't go 0-2-1 or 0-1-2 this week so I'm going to pick us to win 4-2. At the same time, I wouldn't be at all surprised if we lose again with James Neal scoring the game winning goal

Let's just try to salvage a miserable week for Pens hockey…
