I'm not sure I agree with that. You win, you should get homefield opening day.

I do think that something like the Pats/Chiefs is better in the midseason, though. Brady vs 'the other top QB' is a marquee game that I think the Patriots use to see how good they are every year and I feel thats more appropriate later on in the season.

I think the Texans are the only other team that Pats play that will fit that mold.

if you are a chiefs fan, you should want to play the patriots early in the season when they are still in 'practice' mode. you don't want to play them later in the year when they're actually trying.

Oh, I agree. Especially since Andy Reid has come out firing on all cylinders the past 2 seasons. This is doubly true if Gronk retires.

I honestly think celebrating the kick off to the centennial season with a Packers/ Bears match-up is a good idea. Of course, having that as the Sunday nighter wouldn't be so bad either. I don't much care about the champs kicking things off. It's kinda meaningless in a way.
