OT - Pokemon Go - is a thing

Today was populated by idiot friends and business acquaintances all proudly showing they are playing Pokémon Go. Today - I heard that more people downloaded the Pokémon Go app - than the number of people registered on Twitter.

I have no inclination - but there is a national obsession going on.

I was going to start a thread asking what Pokemon Go is....


Then I decided I didn't want to know.

The one good thing is it is getting some people outside moving and exercising. Beyond that it definitely makes me nervous when I hear that people are hiding behind police stations trying to catch pokemon and are jumping out of bushes in the middle of the night or when I hear that kids are going up to strangers doors and knocking asking if they can get in the backyard to catch pokemon.

Definitely a weird phenomenon.
