Notre Dame or BYU.

New Mexico St opens Saturday against Wyoming and
then plays at Minnesota on Thursday night.

Pretty rugged way to start the season.

I think the Aggies are just glad they still get to play football.

What sucks is being a mid-major in the West when the Mtn West doesn't want you.

Oh hell yeah. NCAA rules require you to play 5 home games
vs FBS opponents. Without being in a league, where in the hell
are they going to find folks to come to Las Cruces?

They have a big chore on their hand.

They've got 3 built in home games with rivals, New Mexico and
UTEP plus BYU will schedule them. But that's not 3 home games
every year

I think it must be pride for them because they won't drop down
to FCS. That's where they really belong. They could still keep
N Mexico on the schedule along with UTEP...plus get games
with No Colo, No Ariz, some 1-AA's in West Texas, Utah Valley
Weber State, others that are just a bus ride away.
