Wow, where to begin.

He's right on a few points, but way off on a few. Calling the fans dumb is pretty classy. Calling John Scott one of the dirtiest players in the league while (ever so briefly) acknowledging that he's never been suspended before? Teeing off on Ott while (again, ever so briefly) acknowledging that he hasn't been suspended in several years? Discussing Rolston's pre-season fine without acknowledging that every other hockey writer on the planet was confused as hell by what Rolston did to deserve a fine since Scott was already on the ice?

This Sabres team is pathetic, that's true. But there's plenty of things to say bad about them without having to apply a heavy spin or insulting the entire team fanbase.

(I know the Ott thing is still a sore point for some people, but as was discussed around here recently, at some point you have to be willing to admit that a guy has cleaned up his game if he stays out of trouble)

This guy would not have been too pleased if he'd been around the swamp back in the 82-0 talks days. :dhd:

Glad I saw that before I clicked the link. Reading his drivel makes my blood pressure shoot up. I can't stand that fucking mental midget.

Sure the Sabres are bad this year, but what did people expect?

The team pretty much said don't expect much this year, as they are in full "rebuilding" mode, so why the sudden surprise and outrage?

I mean c'mon now, they had 4 freaking teenagers playing in a game. Obviously it's going to take some time for them to gel as a team and get into the swing of things. Most of their games have been close, and half of their losses have been 1 goal games. So it's not like they are getting killed 10-0 every game they play.

Obviously no one thought they would be struggling this bad, but it's still not that surprising when you take a step back and look at it for what it is.

Even as bad as they have been, they are still 1 of 7 teams who have 3 or fewer wins so far, and 1 of 3 teams under 5 points.

In the immortal words of Pep Streebeck - "Kids, it'll grow back."
