The NFL announced on Sunday that the Oct. 12 game between the New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills will now be broadcast on Fox, as part of the league's flexible scheduling. For the first time, a select number of games are being “cross-flexed,” moving between CBS and FOX to bring potentially under-distributed games to wider audiences.

I'm shocked it's not on Fox Sports 1.

This week's games on AFN are: TBD. Whatever, I'll still get the game on "game rewind"

Couple of things at play here from what I can understand. The first being the flex games actually are starting earlier in the NFL. They are now able to start in week 5 flexing games. The next and this is the biggy it is about the money. My guess is Fox paid CBS for the rights to this game knowing it would most likely draw a bigger audience than the choices of what they had so it was worth giving up a few million dollars for the rights to the game. CBS on the other hand probably has a couple of games to choose from so decided it was worth bringing in a few million for doing nothing.
