lol..this would work..for me....everyone would seem happy
jt GINN..is a good prospect
mariners could work with..familia
idk..on valdez..but seems like a normal trade
send 5 mil..no prob

https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.fansided.com%2Flogos%2Fmlb%2Fmariners.png

MARINERS GET
RHRP JEURYS FAMILIA
RHP JT GINN
OF FREDDY VALDEZ

what mets get.....goooood defence..as a team
decent..LH..bat
https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.fansided.com%2Flogos%2Fmlb%2Fmets.png

METS GET
3B KYLE SEAGER
$5,000,000
If Kyle Seager is traded his 2022 team option becomes a player option. So to make his $33 million in salary over the next two years work for New York, Seattle sends over $5 million to help with Seager’s contract and takes on the contract of Jeurys Familia.

While Familia has one year left on his contract and would be owed about $13-14 million by the Mariners, he would actually be of use to Seattle. Jerry Dipoto has been saying that the Mariners are still looking to add another reliever and Familia can be that one last guy.

Familia was one of the best closers in the game in 2014 and 2015, but he has fallen off recently due to having one of the league’s worst walk rates. Familia had a 3.71 ERA last year and still has his stuff, so if the Mariners could get his walk rate down Familia could be a key piece in the bullpen this year.

what is in it ..for seager...a chance to go to the playoff'.s......now...before......... he gets to old
and play in new york...not totally..bad..for selling jerseys

Seattle Mariners: What would a Kyle Seager Mets trade look like?

by Willie Keeler6 days ago Follow @wtkeeler24
Seattle Mariners Kyle Seager playing the New York Mets

There is a rumor that the Seattle Mariners and the Mets have talked about a trade for Kyle Seager. What would a trade for Seager look like?

After trading for Francisco Lindor the New York Mets, with who the Seattle Mariners are familiar trade partners, are clearly going for it this year. Now there is another rumor that shows they are trying to build a World Series caliber roster as Michael Mayer of Metsmerized tweeted this.

While it is not a confirmation that they have had serious discussions, it shows that the Mets are another potential suitor if the Mariners wanted to move Kyle Seager. So what would a trade look like if the Mets and Mariners did indeed agree to send Seager to New York City? I was not too sure how it would work when I first saw the rumor but there is actually a great trade for both sides that is not a “Dump of Seager’s salary” type of trade.

MLB Writer

For the second straight year, the Mets signed a first-round talent they selected later than the first round in the MLB Draft.
The organization on Monday signed second-round pick J.T. Ginn, a source confirmed (Newsday's Tim Healey first reported this). The signing bonus, a source confirms, is $2.9 million, which is much larger than the $1,403,200 slot value for the No. 52 pick the club used on the right-handed pitcher.
“He’s got all the qualities of being a top-of-the-rotation guy," Tommy Tanous, the Mets' senior adviser of amateur scouting, said hours after the club selected Ginn.
Ginn, a draft-eligible sophomore from Mississippi State, fell in the draft because he underwent Tommy John surgery this spring. But he commanded a much larger price than his pick's value for a few reasons.

NY Mets draft picks:Complete analysis of the 2020 MLB Draft selections
First, he had college eligibility left. He could've returned to school if his price had not been met.
Two years ago, the Dodgers drafted Ginn in the first round but he did not sign, which surprised many. As a Mississippi State freshman, Ginn pitched to a 3.13 ERA with over 100 strikeouts. Perfect Game named Ginn its National Freshman of the Year.

"We’ve liked Ginn for years now, we really have," Tanous said. "We had strong interest in him in high school, he got picked in front of us. This is a rare combination of turbo sink with strikeout ability. He’s anywhere from 91 to 99 (mph), it’s an out-pitch curveball, an at-will curveball that he throws for strikes, and it's a plus changeup. It’s a super athletic kid."
Mets draft choice, Mississippi State pitcher J.T. Ginn, here during his freshman year, had Tommy John surgery in March.

Added Marc Tramuta, the team's director of amateur scouting: “He pitches with a mean streak. He’s an athlete. You look on our major-league staff, we’ve got power pitchers. This fits right into that mold, and we’re very excited to get him."
Ginn must now continue his recovery from Tommy John surgery. It's not a simple road, but the Mets do have others who have traveled that same path.
Current starters Jacob deGrom and Steven Matz did. Former starters Zack Wheeler and Matt Harvey did, too. They are confident Ginn will succeed.
First round:A look inside NY Mets first-round pick Pete Crow-Armstrong, from those who know him best
Ginn seemed comparable to Matthew Allan, the Mets' third-round pick last year. Allan, also a righty, had first-round talent but fell on draft night because teams were worried he wouldn't sign.
Around Allan, the Mets took college seniors — who usually require less money to sign because they don't feature the leverage of being able to go back to school. They saved money, then signed Allan.

They did the same with Ginn. With the exception of Ginn and first-round pick Pete Crow-Armstrong, the Mets signed all of their picks for under slot value. They even signed two of them for only $20,000, which is the equivalent of the max signing bonus for an undrafted free agent this year.
"We recognize that he’s a premium talent, and premium talent is going to require real investment in terms of dollars," Mets general manager Brodie Van Wagenen said on the night the team drafted Ginn. "Our hope and our belief is that his talent and his expectation for the value of his talent will match up to our interest in rewarding him for that talent with a premium signing bonus."
Once again, the Mets worked out a deal.
Another elite pitching prospect enters their farm system.

Mariners have yet to confirm, Baseball America reports Seattle has signed nine players, two of which fall in the publication’s top 50 rankings. Starlin Aguilar, a shortstop/third baseman who turns 17 later this month,
comes in at No. 24 with BA liking his left-handed swing and potential for power.
Of note on Aguilar, he has trained in the Domincan Republic with the trainer whose program produced Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers and Tampa Bay’s Wander Franco, baseball’s No. 1 overall prospect.

Gabriel Gonzales, an outfielder out of Venezuela, is the other Mariners signing in the top 50 – he lands at No. 30. According to BA, the 17 year old “has a good track record of hitting and hitting for power against live pitching, with an aggressive approach and swing that might ultimately lead to a power-over-hit profile.”

FROM MY POINT OF VIEW ...THESE GUYS WOULD BE ON THE SAME......... TIMELINE...............as any high school guys drafted by the mariners

so far ....confirmation..

starlin aguilar.........L/R....3B...........rated in top 50.that is good
gabriel gonzales...............OF,,,,,,,,,,also top 50
LHP Juan Pinto
Pinto, also from Venezuela, was the last of the players the Mariners have signed so far to earn a mention in Sánchez’s international round-up. Pinto, helpfully, has a robust Instagram presence, so you can follow him and see video of him throwing, like in this recent video where he’s hitting 88-90 (and if that doesn’t sound impressive, remember he is all of 16). He has a prototypical pitcher’s body at 6’3” that appears to be a solid 85% legs, and gets down the mound in a way that suggests more velocity to come after he’s had a pro training regimen and bulked up some. His second-best pitch, per Baseball America, is a tight curve that projects as an out pitch. A lefty with a power curve? Sign me right up. Also, I don’t know who does his graphics, but they are icy (that’s him in the cover photo of this story).
OF Luis Bolivar

Bolivar, also from Venezuela, projects to give Jonatan Clase some competition for the title of “best speed” in the organization, with some scouts putting an 80 on it, although at already six feet tall, he’s built differently than the shorter, powerful Clase. Bolivar has an above-average arm and projects as a true center fielder. The hit tool isn’t as developed as some of the other players in this class, but you can see how he swings for damage from the right side in the video above. “El Boli” is active on Instagram, and you can follow him here.
RHP Aneury Lora
Lora is going to be a really interesting one to look at side-by-side after a couple years of development because he’s currently listed at just 6’1”/145 with a pair of chopsticks for legs, but the frame (especially a pair of feet that look almost cartoonishly outsize to the rest of him) suggests the ability to add good muscle and he’s certainly not done growing. Per Baseball America he has a promising curve and changeup even as his fastball lacks much oomph currently and repeats his delivery well, although I see a lot of moving parts, as is to be expected with a young prospect who maybe hasn’t had some of the same intense training as his counterparts. He’s active on Instagram and you can follow him here.
The Mariners are also projected to sign two Venezuelan right-handed pitchers, Roiber Talavera and Gleiner Díaz. I couldn’t find either of them on Instagram (although if you know their handles, drop them in the comments), but Baseball America has a brief scouting report on each and some film of them pitching.
Note: OF Victor Labrada, a Cuban signee-to-be last year, has been with the club at their facility in the DR for the better part of this past year, but wasn’t able to sign in the normal J2 period due to the pandemic. He’ll finally ink his $350K deal with the club in this signing period.
Update: According to Baseball America’s tracker, the Mariners have also signed SS Bryant Mendez out of Venezuela. I haven’t been able to turn up anything on Mendez, but will keep an eye out.

FEATURED VIDEOS FROM SB NATION.........The Mariners 2021 International Free Agency class is (finally) here

crystal ball is a bit foggy..but..i would still take tjajuan walker..for anywhere from..1 to 3 years deal..and going with a 6 man rotation..it would work
with gilbert still coming up
gonzales..L/L
walker
sheffield..L/L
dunn
Yusei Kikuchi 18...orNick Margevicius 52...the other guy..out of the bull pen..where i need a LHP..anyway..does not really matter which..one...for now
gilbert

6 man rotation..as they say..it will be

while im not worried about..the mariners..position players...with kelenic..on his way..taylor trammel..on his way..as well..and we all..love J rod on his way as well..they all could be at least at tacoma in 2022..most likly..if kelenic hits his way..to mlb..he will be there..same for..trammel..that should take care of LF..and the #4th outfielder............and there is still

Eric Filia
.........L/L...RF/DH/!B.......eric is on a minor league contract at this point..but..should be behind..José Marmolejos 26..on the depth chart
anytime..marmo..is doing..bad..and eric..is hitting...320....i expect him to be put on the 40 man this year
but while...they are going though...some bull pen guys right now..is not the time

basily...mariners already...have..who they need........for now.......going forward
next Question
with seager at 3B..france will have to DH and first base A lot...no doubt seager..can come off the bench..on defence..if france is in at 3B
or if the right pitcher is pitching...which..seager smashes..some pitchers...(rangers ...hate that...lol)...

mariners..do not really need ..to trade seager...just play the situations ...right.......and his numbers..will look..even better

double swithes..can happen a lot...to get the right players in at the right..time for the mariners..with the 3B..situation..put seager in..france just goes..to DH..or !B
same as dylan.moore...playing 2B...but they may need him in..LF...So put in.....long.or haggerty

that...is my eval.....on mariners position players.....until...we can see how it plays...till the trade deadline

mariners rotation

Marco Gonzales 7.......L/L...marco..will be a marner.for years to come
Justin Dunn 35...............dunn should be able to handle this spot at this point......going forward
Justus Sheffield 33.........L/L.....i feel this is the spot....for sheffield.we will see
Chris Flexen 77...............flexen.is in an eval.to stay in the rotation.or he will go to the bull pen....same with Ljay Newsome 74..or Ljay..could be sent to tacoma as well
Yusei Kikuchi 18........L/L....or....Nick Margevicius 52...who ever..of these guys..that does not make the rotation...should be out of the bull pen...if not to start..with out of..spring training..then maybe later Anthony Misiewicz 38..could also..be in..this depth..but will prob be at tacoma

Logan Gilbert86...........if he has good enough numbers..out of spring training.he should be here....if not then tacoma....there is no time to keep
him at arkansas...if he is at tacoma..anytime he is doeing well there...he could start as the #6 rotation guy..if he goes to tacoma
then prob....Nick Margevicius 52...or see #5th starter..depth

that said.......they do not want to put ..any extra..guys..on the..40 man until..they can work there bull pen into a bit of a better situation
so i think..although
they need.....Logan Gilbert86...at mlb it wont happen till.they have some evaluation..on some bull pen guys
same asEric Filia72..as far as a 40 man roster spot goes........

most likely..they will have to wait tell a roster spot opens up..
..mariners.will be evaluating bull pen guys.as they go..along.so i wont do an eval..on bull pen guys.

..any trades.are likely.to involve.bull pen guys through and including the trade deadline

this seems to be where to mariners are...for now
so let spring training begin

one more thing..the mariners..defence..is goooo---oood..and with better pitching..will only get better
J.P. Crawford 3..gold glove
Evan White 12.....gold glove
Kyle Lewis 1.........rookie of the year.i think kyle..is capable...of getting a gold glove.in CF
Kyle Seager 15..its been a while sense...kyle..won a gold glove.he is still good on defence
Mitch Haniger 17....is good on defence..i dont think..he won a gold glove....but he is good
2b..we will see
LF...we will see
catcher...we will see

they are working on the pitching this..year..first and foremost

with all hopes...of getting...to the playoffs...and even the world series

with the defence..being good..they may not have to score as many..runs..but ya still want to score..4 or better runs...per game..for the winnnn
