Nothing doing for the Mets in their half of the 5th. They went down without a whimper 1-2-3.

I didn't think they'd have b2b "el-stinko" games....especially against division foes.

Chasen Shreve comes on to pitch in the 5th for Walker.
Not sure what to say about Taijuan's performance....but that wasn't good at all...in fact, it totally sucked.

Mets got on the board in the 6th, courtesy of Marte's solo shot.

Less than a week after throwing a No Hitter against the Phillies with a 5 pitcher tag team back in Queens, the Mets pulled off their biggest comeback in 25 years thanks to a 7 run 9th inning rally in Philly.

Absolutely Incredible.

The Phillies will have to wait another day to wash the taste of Thursday night’s stunning defeat from their mouths, as Friday’s game against the Mets was postponed due to rain in the forecast. Friday’s game will be made up as part of a split-admission doubleheader on Saturday, Aug. 20.

Philadelphia will start Kyle Gibson -- who was slated to pitch Friday night -- opposite Mets ace Max Scherzer on Saturday, while Zach Eflin will get the ball in Sunday’s series finale against right-hander Chris Bassitt. Eflin had been scheduled to start on Saturday.
