Noticed Tuesday that my Barska Electro Scope won't hold a zero worth dick anymore so I picked one of these Nikon's up at Wally World today for $149 (comes with a full lifetime warranty). It's a 3x32 BDC Carbine scope that's matched specifically to the .223 55 gr. cartridge and shorter barrel ARs. It's says it's designed for a 200 yard zero and, I assume, with the 3x32 that's probably about as far as you're gonna be able to clearly see which is really as far I care to shoot with a 16" AR anyway. Haven't shot with it yet but should be able to get to the range either Sunday or Tuesday and get it zeroed in en sech. Will be glad to give a review after shooting with it if anyone's interested in such an optic/scope.

Post some pics on the gun. I've been looking at this for a while. Can't decide if it looks goofy being so short or not.

Will do as soon as I get home this evening. I think it looks about right really. I was more worried about getting one that looked too long lol.

I like it. It the 3x enough power on that?

I think it should be fine out to 200 yds or so, I've read some people get out further with it but I'll believe it when I see it. I haven't had a chance to get it to the range since I bought it, should be going tomorrow though. I'll report back after I see how it does.

Just got back from the range and this thing is dead on at 200 yds (3 in. or less group using Perfecta 55gr. ammo). That's as far as I tried today but I imagine you get out to 250 or so and still see ok. I could drill a 5x5 in. steel target at 100 yds. with pretty much every shot, only misses were when I was trying to hit it while it was still swinging. Would recommend, especially for the price.

Hmmm. Maybe I'll scrape up the $150. I know every once and a while Cabelas offers them with free mounting rings.
